SITRANS Magnetic Flow Meter (FM) Transmitters<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Siemens\u2019 range of\u00a0SITRANS MAG Transmitters\u00a0<\/strong>(Magnetic Flow Meter transmitters) are designed to tackle a range of environments \u2013 be sure to see the subcategories at the bottom of the page for specific applications.<\/p>\n

At the front of the selection, the\u00a0MAG 5000<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0MAG 6000<\/strong>\u00a0transmitters are engineered for high performance, easy installation, commissioning and maintenance.<\/p>\n

The transmitters evaluate the signals from the SITRANS Magnetic Flow sensors, with PROFIBUS PA\/DP, DeviceNet, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, HART, and Modbus RTU communication available. The MAG 5000 and MAG 6000 primarily differ in measuring error range:<\/p>\n

Transmitter types:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2b9e MAG 5000<\/strong>: Max. measuring error \u00b1 0.4 % \u00b1 1 mm\/s (incl. sensor)<\/p>\n

\u2b9e MAG 6000<\/strong>: Max. measuring error \u00b1 0.2 % \u00b1 1 mm\/s (incl. sensor)<\/p>\n

There are multiple functional outputs for process control, minimum configuration with analogue, pulse\/frequency and relay output (status, flow direction, limits).<\/p>\n

The\u00a0SITRANS F M MAG 6000 I\u00a0<\/strong>\/\u00a0MAG 6000 I Ex<\/strong>\u00a0transmitter is designed for the demands in the process industry. The robust die-cast aluminium housing provides superb protection, even in the most harsh industrial environments. Full input and output functionality is given even in the Ex version.<\/p>\n

Applications<\/h3>\n

The SITRANS F M flowmeters are suitable for measuring the flow of almost all electrically conductive liquids, pastes and slurries.<\/p>\n

The MAG5000 and MAG6000 transmitters are only compatible with the following flow sensors, which is required for flow measurement.<\/p>\n
